Note: New model runs have started to become available for the 2017 Alaska Fire Season. Graphics and features are likely to change and improve throughout the month of June 2017. No forecasts will be produced during periods of no significant fires or during the cold season. Example forecasts up to 72 hours of concentrations of black carbon and particulate mass included in wildfire smoke are available below. The forecast model domain extends over Interior Alaska with a resolution of 5 kilometers; system initialization time is every day at 00 UTC, or 16:00 AKDT.
